Privacy policy

This is a courtesy translation. In case of discrepancy, the Spanish version prevails.
This policy explains what personal data we process, for what purposes and how you can exercise your rights, in accordance with Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR) and Spanish Organic Law 3/2018 on data protection (LOPDGDD).

What data we process
- Quotation form: name, telephone number, area of the island, type of project, timeframe, message and, if you attach them, photos or plans.
- Configurator dossier: name, telephone number, email address, area, timeframe, the kitchen you have configured and whether you would like us to call you to take measurements.
- WhatsApp and telephone: the data you give us when you message or call us. WhatsApp is a service provided by WhatsApp Ireland Limited, which processes your data in accordance with its own privacy policy.
- Browsing: statistical usage data, only if you accept analytics cookies (as explained in the cookie policy).
We do not need health data or any other special categories of data: please do not include them in your message. If you give us data relating to another person, for example someone who lives with you, you must have informed them beforehand.
What we use it for and on what legal basis

We do not send advertising by email or messaging without your express consent, we do not sell your data and we do not use it to make automated decisions or to create profiles.
How long we keep it
- If you request a quotation but do not go ahead, we delete your data 12 months after the last contact.
- If you are a customer, we keep it for the duration of the relationship and, thereafter, for the periods required by law: 6 years for invoices and accounting records (Art. 30 of the Spanish Commercial Code, Código de Comercio) and for as long as the warranty and any possible claims last.
- Statistical browsing data is kept for a maximum of 14 months.
Who may receive it
We do not disclose your data to third parties except where required by law (for example, to the Spanish Tax Agency, Agencia Tributaria, or to the courts). It is, however, processed on our behalf, under a data processing agreement (Art. 28 GDPR), by the providers we need in order to operate: website hosting, a request management tool and email and, if you accept analytics cookies, Google (Google Analytics).
If you apply for financing, your data is passed to the financial institution assessing the application, only with your authorisation and solely for that purpose. The institution processes it as an independent controller, in accordance with its own policy.
Transfers outside the European Economic Area
Some providers, such as Google, may process data in the United States. In that case they do so with the safeguards required by the GDPR: the European Commission adequacy decision for companies certified under the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, or the standard contractual clauses approved by the Commission.
Your rights
You may request access to your data, its rectification or erasure and the restriction of its processing, object to its processing and request data portability. You may also withdraw any consent you have given at any time, without affecting processing carried out before the withdrawal. Write to us at web@cocinaentenerife.com stating which right you wish to exercise and some information that allows us to identify you; we will reply within one month at the latest.
If you believe that we have not handled your data properly, you may lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency, Agencia Española de Protección de Datos (www.aepd.es).
Minors
The website is not aimed at children under 14 and we do not knowingly process their data (Art. 7 LOPDGDD).
Security
We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data against loss, unauthorised access or alteration. The website uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
