Fixed range, simple choice
A limited number of doors, colours and worktops keeps the price down without you having to compare hundreds of combinations.
A well-made budget kitchen is a fixed range of units, finishes and hardware that we measure in your home and fit ourselves. You save because you choose from a limited catalogue, not because corners are cut on the measure-up, the fitting or the parts that take the most wear.
A limited number of doors, colours and worktops keeps the price down without you having to compare hundreds of combinations.
We measure the kitchen in your home and fit it ourselves, including the finishing and adjustments a flat-pack kit leaves to you.
We cut back on finishes and extras, not on hinges, drawer runners or the sealing of the worktop around the sink.
You can get an idea with the calculator and then agree the quote using the real measurements.
Set the basics and get a price range including IGIC (the Canary Islands sales tax) straight away, without leaving your details. We confirm the exact price after measuring.
Cheap kitchens in Tenerife usually come one of two ways: a flat-pack kit from a large DIY store, which you assemble yourself or pay someone else to fit, or a made-to-measure quote cut back as far as it will go. Our affordable range sits between the two: units from a fixed catalogue, measured in your home and fitted by our team, so the price comes down without the kitchen suffering after a few years.
It includes the base and wall units, the worktop, the doors and the hardware from a specific range, with the measure-up and fitting done by us. The difference from a made-to-measure kitchen lies in freedom of choice: there are fewer colours, fewer door styles and units in standard widths.
That limited catalogue is what keeps the price down. Always making the same formats and finishes reduces waste and workshop time, and that saving is passed on in the quote. If your space has awkward measurements or you want a particular finish, a made-to-measure kitchen will suit you better.
The main difference is what happens after you pay. With a kit you buy boxes and everything else is down to you; with one of our budget kitchens, fitting it to the wall and assembling it are our responsibility.
| Flat-pack kitchen | Budget range with fitting | |
|---|---|---|
| Measurements | You take them and choose catalogue units | We measure at your home and sort out the finishing pieces |
| Fitting | Done yourself or contracted separately | We do it |
| If something does not line up | You sort it out with the shop and the fitter | We answer for the fitting |
| Worktop | Standard laminate board, cut at home | Cut to size, with the cut-outs and sealing done |
In practice, the worktop is where the difference shows most. A worktop that is badly sealed around the sink or hob absorbs water and swells, and in coastal homes the humidity speeds up that damage. Cutting and sealing it properly is part of our job.
You can save on anything that is visible and easy to change, and it is best not to on what works hard every day. These are the decisions that bring the price down most without shortening the kitchen’s life:
What we do not recommend cutting back on is soft-close hinges, drawer runners and the carcass of the units under the sink. They are the parts that fail first in cheap kitchens. To check them in any quote, follow the list on how to spot a quality kitchen.
If the budget range falls short on finishes, look at our ex-display kitchens on clearance: sometimes there are higher-end kitchens at a reduced price that fit your space. To get an idea of the cost before booking an appointment, use the kitchen price calculator, and remember that in the Canary Islands IGIC (the Canary Islands sales tax, 7 %) applies, not VAT. And if you would rather spread the payment, see our kitchen finance options.
Open the planner with this starting point already chosen. Then change the measurements, units and finishes, and see the drawing and an estimated price including IGIC straight away.
The leftover space is covered with a filler strip or an end panel in the same finish, cut to size during fitting. If the gap is large, it is sometimes worth using a unit of a different width from the same range. If the kitchen has lots of nooks, a made-to-measure kitchen makes better use of the space.
It is a common choice for rental flats, because the aim is to keep costs down and to have parts that can be replaced. It is worth choosing easy-clean doors and a stain-resistant worktop, which is what takes the most punishment in those homes.
A unit or a tall unit can be added afterwards, but the most practical option is to use the same range so that the colour and plinth height match. If you are thinking of extending, tell us at the design stage and we will plan for it.
